Great Waters’ 30th season goes out with a bang: One Night of Queen

MOULTONBOROUGH — Great Waters Summer Concerts is bringing its 30th Anniversary Season to a close with One Night of Queen with Gary Mullen & The Works, at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, at Castle in the Clouds. The final concert of the season promises a night of legendary music and the larger-than-life energy of Queen.

There may be no better way to close out a summer of music than with Queen. Fronted by Mullen, winner of ITV’s "Stars in Their Eyes" for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury, Gary Mullen & The Works have earned international acclaim for recreating the sound, energy, and spectacle of Queen.

The evening will feature some of Queen’s most iconic hits, from “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “We Will Rock You,” to “We Are the Champions,” “Somebody to Love,” and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.” With soaring vocals, electrifying guitar, and plenty of opportunities for the audience to sing along, this is a finale built for a crowd on its feet.

With Castle in the Clouds as the backdrop, audiences will gather under the Great Waters concert tent for one last night of music, making memories, and celebrating another unforgettable summer in the Lakes Region. Food trucks Tin Can Co., Buns on the Run, and Arlene’s Asian Kitchen will open at 5:30 p.m. along with the Castle in the Clouds bar.

After 30 years of bringing music to New Hampshire audiences, Great Waters is closing this milestone season with a band that knows a thing or two about going out on a high note.
