ASHLAND — Jennifer Morris will speak on Chris Buckley’s book “In The Shadow of Tungusuak” at Ashland Town Library on Thursday, Nov. 6.

Buckley (1955-2020) was a student and later a teacher at Plymouth State College. He married Morris in 2008 and they raised their two sons in the home they built in Plymouth.

Buckley traveled often to the Torngat Mountains at the northern tip of Labrador. He recorded in his diaries two long trips in 1980 and 2001 — through the mountains, rivers and glaciers of the Torngats — with his brother Brendan, which were the basis of his book. The manuscript, which he finished in the spring of 2020, was edited and completed after his death by his brother and his widow.

The talk,  sponsored by the Friends of the Ashland Town Library,  will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, in the Ashland Town Library, at 41 Main St.
