CONCORD — Concord Hospital Health System has been recognized with the 2025 NRC Health Excellence in Patient Experience Award – Small System, honoring health care organizations that deliver exceptional care experiences guided by empathy, compassion, and human understanding.

CHHS was one of only three health systems nationwide selected for this recognition in the small system category, which includes health systems with two to four hospitals measuring across the continuum of care. Winners were chosen based on their Real-time Net Promoter Score for the question “Would you recommend this facility?” collected between April 1, 2024, and March 31.

“This recognition is especially meaningful because it comes directly from the voices of our patients,” said CHHS President and CEO Robert P. Steigmeyer. “It demonstrates the daily compassionate care our teams provide throughout the community and our shared commitment to putting patients first across every part of our health system.”

For more than 40 years, NRC Health has helped health care organizations nationwide better understand and serve the unique needs of patients, families, and communities. Guided by its commitment to human understanding, NRC Health empowers hospitals and health systems to improve patient experience and outcomes across the care continuum.

“We’re honored to be among the best in patient experience,” said Steigmeyer. “This award belongs to our entire community — our patients who trust us with their care, and our staff whose compassion and expertise make that care possible.”
