MOULTONBOROUGH ― Joe Callanan returns to the Moultonborough Library on Nov. 13 at 6 p.m., to once again share his striking photography and natural history expertise with his talk, “The Mystery of Owls.”
Owls are shy, reclusive creatures whose nocturnal habits cloak them from the public’s eye. Callanan’s “The Mystery of Owls” presentation combines visual documentation with ecological information. He will cover various owl species native to the region, discussing their unique adaptations, hunting strategies, behavioral patterns, and their role in the local ecosystem. The program is designed to inform the audience about these secretive birds and promote environmental awareness.
Callanan is a Moultonborough Library patron favorite.
“As a long time animal lover, I have been to countless lectures and presentations on wildlife. I can honestly say that I have never seen anything like what Joe brings to the audience. I have now been to two of his library presentations and I cannot wait to see his next one,” said Priscilla Burlingham, Moultonborough resident. “There is so much natural history explained, such compelling narratives of the adventures and the animals behavior and of course, wonderful photography. He brings a refreshing reverence for wildlife and does it in such a way that you feel as though you are in the field with him.”
This free presentation is made possible by the Friends of the Moultonborough Library.
