The League of NH Craftsmen Meredith Retail Gallery is presenting Wen Redmond as its featured 'Artist of the Month' for June. He has been a member of the League of NH Craftsmen since 1993, and is juried in both the stitchery and surface design categories.
As a mixed media artist, Redmond blends the use of fiber, paint, and digital media to create her truly unique pieces. Her work includes painting, dying, stamping, screen printing, and more recently digital printing. .
"The Nature of my work permits the viewer to see different images within the very same piece, drawing the viewer in," says Redmond. "I achieve this with illusionary surface design, digital collage, or actual physical layering to produce one image."
On Saturday, June 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Redmond will demonstrate her fabric painting techniques, tools, and tricks. You will see how she creates her wonderful sunprints, silk screens, holographic effects, and more!
