GILFORD — The Gilford Public Library will hold the following special programs early next month.
On Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Yvonne Vissing will talk about gluten-free eating. Vissing, an author and professor at Salem State College in Massachusetts will discuss her book, "Going Gluten Free," and will share tips, tricks, and recipes to help make eating gluten free during the holidays easy and delicious. This program is open to the public, so anyone interested in gluten-free cooking or the gluten-free lifestyle are welcome to attend.
On Thursday, Nov. 5, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. humorist, author, and former range supervisor Tim Caverly will narrate a show about Maine's north woods. This program is open to anyone interested in the outdoors, historic Maine, or the Allagash River.
On Monday, Nov. 9, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. school-age patrons can learn how to make a Thanksgiving centerpiece This craft class is open to youngsters from kindergarten through fourth grade who will be shown how to turkey craft to decorate their Thanksgiving tables.
Materials will be provided. Sign-up is required.
