BELMONT — The Unified Basketball Jamboree will take place this Saturday, Jan. 9, at Belmont High School.
Six teams from Belmont, Gilford, Laconia, Interlakes-Moultonboro, Stevens, and Winnisquam high schools will be showcased during mini games throughout the day beginning at 9 a.m.
Unified sports bring athletes with and without intellectual disabilities together to compete.
Last year's jamboree filled the BHS gym with cheering fans, and organizers hope to make it an even bigger event this year.
There will be raffles, huck-a-bag competitions, food concessions and a DJ to add to the fun. Proceeds will be donated to Special Olympics New Hampshire.
Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students and senior citizens.
Further information can be obtained by calling Cassie Contigiani at 581-9820.
