The Sanbornton Historical Society will tour the Sant Bani School on Osgood Rd. in Sanbornton on May 5 at 7 p.m. Interested members and visitors are invited to meet at the school at 7 p.m. Anyone wishing to follow a society member to the school should meet at the Lane Tavern in Sanbornton Square at 6:30 p.m. When arriving at Sant Bani School, please use the parking lot on the right, after entering the school grounds.

Sant Bani School was founded in 1973 with an enrollment of six students. Today enrollment has swelled to 165 students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school is situated on two hundred acres of secluded woodlands with four buildings that house classrooms, offices and a new library.

Most of the students at the Sant Bani School live in surrounding communities; however, in its history the school has hosted students from more than fifteen countries. Students at Sant Bani come from a wide variety of backgrounds and are encouraged in their own personal growth and taught reverence for life in all its forms and dedication to the ideal of service to others. The school curriculum is inspired by the life and works of Sant Kirpal Singh, former President of the World Fellowship of Religions, and presents teachings that are part of a universal tradition that has expressed itself through all religions.

After the tour of the Sant Bani campus, Irene Gilb, a Sant Bani student and pianist, will give an informal concert, followed by refreshments.
