LACONIA — Laconia Area Community Land Trust (LACLT) will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for Lochmere Meadows Apartments in Tilton at noon on Friday, October 15.
Lochmere Meadows is LACLT's latest affordable housing development for working families. The development features 28 two-bedroom apartments. Each 1,100 square foot EnergyStar® certified home has washer and dryer hookups and personal outside storage. The Land Trust, a NeighborWorks® organization supported in part by membership donations and the Lakes Region United Way, pays full taxes on its developments.
“In addition to providing 28 greatly-needed subsidized rental units, the development of Lochmere Meadows has provided jobs for local contractors and investment in businesses where materials and supplies have been purchased,” said LACLT Executive Director Linda Harvey.
A light lunch and property tours will follow the brief ribbon cutting ceremony. The public is invited to attend. To R.S.V.P., call 524-0747.
