MEREDITH — The public is invited to a presentation by Jeff Klenotic, associate professor of communication arts at the University of New Hampshire, at Golden View's new assisted living option, The Cottage on Tuesday, May 19 from 6-7:30 p.m.
Professor Klenotic will present examples from his ongoing research, which aims to produce a digital archive and interactive map charting of every venue where movies played in the Granite State from the medium's origins in 1896 to the rise of television in the 1940s. Those attending are welcome to share their own knowledge of local movie venues and their own memories of "going to the movies."
