New Hampshire Community Technical College Laconia’s Nursing President’s Award of Excellence winner, Katrina Vicente (Meredith-center right), is shown with her family during the College’s Nurse Pinning Ceremony on May 12. Joining Miss Vicente is Michael (left), Charlita (second from left), and Alan (right), her brother, mother, and father. The Vicente’s came to America four years ago from the Philippines. Michael Vicente earned his Physical Therapy Bachelor’s Degree while the Vicente’s lived in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. He is presently taking New Hampshire’s Physical Therapy Board Exams. “NHCTC Laconia’s Nursing faculty has been extremely supportive in every way,” said Katrina. “Laconia’s Registered Nursing Program is the best!” She plans to continue for the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Nursing at University of New Hampshire this fall.
