Porcupines' Beach Day aids Humane Society

GILFORD — More than 35 people attended the Lakes Region Porcupines' third annual Beach Day which raised $630 and a big box of supplies and food for the Lakes Region Humane Society.

Spectators fed on burgers and hotdogs, potato salad, pasta salad and more. Sodas were provided by Lakes Region Coca-Cola in Belmont. Event sponsors were the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire and Liberty Lobby, LLC.

"There are so many who came together to help with this event I couldn't think to name every one of them," said event organizer Glen Aldrich. "I did want to extend a special thanks to Tony Jankowski for putting this event together and the Notkin family for their generosity and efforts to make Beach Day a true success,"

Those wishing to help the Humane Society can visit www.LRHS.net. Information about the Lakes Region Porcupines can be found at the Porcupine's Facebook page.

In the coming months the Porcupines will be starting their fourth Toy Drive.
