ASHLAND — The first all-you- can-eat spaghetti dinner for 2016, sponsored by the Pemi-Baker Valley Republican Committee, is going to be held on Friday, May 13 from 5-7 p.m. at the American Legion Hall at 37 Main Street.

Guests will enjoy spaghetti, sauce, meatballs, Italian sausage, garlic bread, salad, beverages, and desserts.

There are two guests for the dinner, Jack Flanagan, who is running for the 2nd Congressional District seat, and Jim Rubens, who is running for U.S. Senate. Flanagan has a record of over twenty-five years of public service serving on the school boards and as selectman and has spent three terms in the N.H. House of Representatives. He is a former Majority Leader, and current vice chairman of the Labor and Industrial Relations Committee.

Over the past twenty years, Jim Rubens has been involved in every facet of New Hampshire politics. In his first run for office, he successfully primaried the sitting Senate president. In the Senate he launched debate leading to New Hampshire's electricity competition law, and then fought multiple ratepayer-financed bailouts. He has chaired the New Hampshire GOP platform committee and served as spokesman and senior policy advisor to former Senator Gordon Humphrey. He ran for governor in 1998, earning endorsement by the Union Leader. In 2014, he ran for United States Senate, raising $2.5 million and earning endorsement by the Republican Liberty Caucus.

Tickets are $10 at the door for adults, $5 for children 5-12 years, and 4 and under free with a special family price of $25.. Non-perishable items or cash donations for the Plymouth Food pantry are encouraged.
