GILFORD — The New Hampshire State Police-Marine Patrol is offering a public open house at its new headquarters building located at 31 Dock Road in Gilford on Saturday, May 27, from 10 a.m. to noon. The open house is being held in conjunction with National Safe Boating Week and the Memorial Day holiday weekend, the traditional start of the boating season in New Hampshire.

This new facility houses all of the Marine Patrol Bureau's full time staff responsible for providing the boating public with services and boating safety information. Available services include boat registrations, mooring/swim line/water event permits, commercial boat licenses, testing, and vessel inspection needs.

The building also has state of the art classrooms for public boating education courses, public meetings, and training for various public services agencies from around the state.

Marine Patrol headquarters also houses the Bureau's law enforcement operation which includes booking and holding areas. Also on site is the docking space for patrol boats serving Lake Winnipesaukee and the boat maintenance center responsible for servicing the agency fleet.

Guided tours of the building will be available.
