SANBORNTON — Harmony Grange #99 and Sanbornton Congregational Church, UCC, will host a New England dinner in the Undercroft at the church followed by a demonstration of the making of Shaker and Native American style baskets beginning at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
The presenter will be William Allen of Alexandria, who studied and worked with Martha Wetherbee — a well-known expert on Shaker basketry — from 1990 — 2001.
The dinner menu will include baked ham and hot dogs, homestyle baked beans, a variety of salads, cornbread, rolls and butter, coffee, tea, and cider, and apple crisp with ice cream or whipped cream. A vegetarian option is available. The price per person, including the program, is $10. Call 286-8819 to ensure that seats are still available.
