In mid-February, LRGHealthcare and Laconia Clinic combined women's health and OB/GYN services across the region into a single, collaborative practice. With locations in Laconia, Franklin, and Moultonboro, Caring
for Women will provide every woman in our community with convenient options, better appointment
availability, and a team of medical professionals to meet her healthcare needs.
The practice brings together providers from Laconia Clinic, Lakes Region OB/GYN, Moultonborough Family Health, and Integrative Women's Health in Franklin. The staff of Caring for Women will
include OB/GYN's Drs. Monelle Bisson, Tina Costello, Wayne Domin, Carolyn Drake, Richard Enck,
and W. Michael Tovell; Certified Nurse Midwives Mary Bidgood-Wilson, Erica Russell, and Lucy
Wilson; and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses Doneta Fischer, Betty Mitchell, and Jan Rowley.
"We are very excited about this new collaboration, and the new center," says OB/GYN Dr. W. Michael Tovell. "Women's Health and OB/GYN providers in the area have been working together informally for a long time, but our new common medical records system, a common appointment scheduling system, and so many options for care within a single practice will only enhance the care we provide to our patients. This is a strong team of providers with the specialties and experience needed to address a number of women's health needs. We are looking forward to the new opportunities this practice will bring for a more collaborative approach to care, and are excited about what that will mean for our patients."
Caring for Women will offer OB/GYN, midwifery, and primary care for women; consultation and care for menopause issues; incontinence care and treatment; Digital Mammography; ultrasound and non-stress tests; bone density testing; counseling for women; and women's health education services.
The hub of Caring for Women is the brand-new standalone facility in Laconia. Offering "one-stop shopping" for all of these services, the center will make it easier for women to fit into their busy schedules the services they need to stay healthy. This facility will offer convenient access, close parking, and enhanced privacy for women's health services. Located just next door to Laconia Clinic, the center will also offer patients convenient access to Laconia Clinic Pharmacy, enabling them to take care of their medical and prescription needs all in one stop.
