Moultonborough Library offers free 'Soup & Sweets' lunch March 16

MOULTONBOROUGH — The Friends, trustees and staff of the Moultonborough Library are inviting the community to the annual “Soup and Sweets” lunch on Friday, March 16, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The soup and dessert buffet will be served at the Moultonborough Library in the meeting room. This annual late winter celebration is a thank you to the library's patrons, local friends, and the extended Moultonborough Library community. The menu for the lunch will be a smorgasbord of soups prepared by the Friends of the Library, the Library staff, and the Library trustees. It will include a variety of soups, chili, chowders, and stews. Following the soups, there will be a buffet of homemade sweets and desserts. This is the sixth year that the Friends of the Moultonborough Library has hosted the “Soup and Sweets” free lunch. No reservations needed! No tickets required!

The Friends of the Library support programs in Moultonborough including: One Book-One Child; Book Discussions With Scholars; Holiday and Summer Reading Programs for children; adult book groups; outdoor landscaping and garden projects; museum and activity passes; newsletters; and special trips and events. The Friends always welcome members or future members. Meetings are held the first Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. in the meeting room of the Moultonborough Library.
