Moultonborough Fire Rescue will hold an Open House on Sunday, June 8, 2008 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. at the Public Safety Building on Route 25.
The Fire Prevention Committee is planning some demonstrations that will show residents what types of jobs are performed and what some of the equipment is capable of doing. Children will enjoy climbing aboard one of the fire engines, and trying on little fire gear. Adults will be shown how to put out a fire with an extinguisher, or learn how a Thermal Imaging Camera works. Demonstrations include firefighters using ladders and axes to get inside a building, maneuvering through a maze while wearing turnout gear and breathing apparatus, and even an auto extrication demonstration with the "Jaws of Life".
