FRANKLIN — It was picture-perfect weather Saturday, April 23, for the first-ever Mom Prom, a fundraiser hosted by the Franklin Regional Hospital Auxiliary at Mojalaki's Country Club in Franklin. The event was held to raise funds for the FRH Emergency Department Crisis Closet. With dinner, dancing, raffles and genuine fun, it was an unforgettable evening for the 120 ladies that attended with co-workers, friends and families. One guest mentioned her husband asked if he had to go, she told him no. He was so happy he gave her some money to spend and dropped her off and picked her up from the event.
Ladies dressed in an array of formal wear from the Renaissance to the 1970s to today. Juliann Marshall of Laconia was dressed as a hippie and crowned Prom Queen.
Without the donations and sponsorship of many local businesses, the Mom Prom would not have been the great success it was in raising more than $2,400.
