MOULTONBOROUGH — Interlakes Community Caregivers held its 5th Annual MiniGolf Tournament on a recent sunny Saturday at Paradise Falls and raised $12,000 to benefit the nonprofit program.

"This was the most successful MiniGolf Tournament we've had. We couldn't have done this without our players, volunteers and sponsors. We are grateful for your support!" said Carrie Jordan, MiniGolf Committee Chair, who went on to note that this event has raised over $50,000 for the nonprofit since its inception in 2010 and that 150 businesses and civic groups supported the event this year.

The participation was enthusiastic and the competition keen amongst the 17 teams made up of local school sports teams, civic groups, businesses and friends, including Inter-Lakes High School and Moultonborough Academy students, Lions Club and Altrusa Club members, local business teams and others.

Action was brought to a halt at the 12th hole for the customary "dress up" hole in this annual event. Costumes were provided and volunteers helped teams don the boas and hats, etc. for a great "break in the action" and a fun photo opportunity. A photo gallery is available at www.InterlakesCommunityCaregivers.org.

Winners of the tournament were: Team lowest score and team with the most holes in one — Inter-Lakes High School golf team; individual lowest score — Maddie from Moultonborough Academy volleyball team; individual lowest score age 12 or under — Sophie from the Eagles team; individual with the most holes in one — Nancy Law from the Ballbusters team; youngest player hole in one — Bridget from the Paradise Falls team; oldest player hole in one — Paula from Mackie's team; and best dressed team – Mackie's team.

Over 150 businesses and civic organizations supported the event, including Gold Sponsor Shep Brown's Boat Basin; Silver Sponsors McCarthy Lawn Property Management and Meredith Village Savings Bank; Bronze Sponsors DAK Financial Group, Interlakes Animal Hospital, Interlakes Family Dental, Meadow Pond Animal Hospital, Meredith Bay Colony Club, Moulton Farm, Moultonborough Lions Club, Northway Bank, Septic Solutions, and Y-Landing Marine Services. Special recognition also goes to Robin O'Rourke and Paradise Falls Mini Golf for closing the facility to the public each year on that day for use by ICCI, Ben & Jerry's of Meredith for ice cream sundaes, and C.G. Roxanne for water supplied to players and volunteers at the event.

ICCI is actively seeking Volunteer Drivers, with a specific need at this time for those willing and able to drive Neighbors to medical facilities in Concord and the VA Clinic in Manchester.
