MEREDITH — On January 23 the Altrusa Club of Meredith prepared and served a warm, nutritious meal at the Meredith Congregational Church to neighbors who reside in and around the Meredith community.
The 40 people who attended enjoyed a dinner consisting of baked ham, scalloped potatoes, carrots, tossed salad, rolls, gingerbread, cookies, milk, tea and coffee. Teamwork was the key to this very successful event, as approximately 28 Altrusa members helped with advertising, taking reservations, preparing the food, and setting the tables. Members of the Meredith Astra Club, an international community service organization for young adults, ages 12 to 25, assisted by serving the meals to the attendees.
