LACONIA — The Lakes Region Partnership for Public Health (LRPPH) recently received a $50,000 bequest from the late Richard "Dick" Dearborn, local resident, business executive, and founder of EPTAM Plastics.
"It's difficult to find the right words to express my appreciation and that of the Partnership Board of Directors and staff for this generous gift,"said Lisa Morris, executive director of LRPPH. "Although, I did not know Dick, I do know of his exceptional devotion to this community, philanthropy, his business and its employees. The Partnership staff care deeply about the health of our community and are committed to the work we do to improve health outcomes. It is amazing to be recognized with this unexpected gift!"
The Lakes Region Partnership for Public Health goal is to improve the health of the community through disease prevention and health promotion. Programs include services and supports for older adults and family caregivers (ServiceLink) substance misuse and suicide prevention, healthy eating, active living-public health emergency preparedness, school based immunization clinics, oral health and melanoma prevention education, immigrant integration and more.
