Pleasant Street Elementary School second grader Megan Riley, 7, Gaspa participated in the NES National Pageant held at the Sheraton Bradley Airport Hotel in Windsor Locks, Connecticut earlier this month. After much preparation and practice, she won a Pageant Princess title and crown as well as two first place category awards, one for best eyes and another best portfolio picture, which was taken by LHS freshman Meredith Vachon. Special thanks to go out to her sponsors, J.J. Santoro from Winner's Circle Auto Sales in Tilton and Rob Follansbee from Extreme Auto in Belmont. Megan is looking forward to competing again this June. (Courtesy photo)
