LACONIA —Pitman's Freight Room will be hosting the rock and blues band, John Butcher Axis, on Saturday, Dec. 3, beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
The Grammy-nominated Butcher has released 20 CDs and has provided music for a number of network and cable television shows including "Ugly Betty," "My Name is Earl," "Deadwood," "Six Feet Under," "Shameless," and many more.
Butcher's first appearance at Pitman's was a solo show, but the Dec. 3 event includes "the Axis" which is comprised of Butcher, drummer John Muzzy and bassist Chris Martin.
"We are expecting a great turnout," said Pitman's owner and music-booker Dick Mitchell. "The last time John was here, he put on a great show. Fans asked us to bring him back but we wanted to go one step further and bring the entire group."
Also coming up at Pitman's is comedy legend Lenny Clarke who will be appearing Friday, Dec. 9 with a special show beginning at 8 pm. Tickets are $30.
