LACONIA — Imagine giving back to your community with a fundraiser that cost you no money out of pocket. Irwin Ford's goal is to raise $6,000 in one day with "Drive One 4 UR School."

This year's program will put you behind the wheel of Ford's most fuel efficient and technologically advanced vehicles. Ford Motor Company is sponsoring this event by donating $20 to Laconia High School for any household member who takes a five-minute test drive at the school parking lot in any Ford vehicle he or she chooses.

"We are excited to raise money for Laconia High School with a fundraising event that cost nothing out of pocket," said Chris Irwin, vice president of the Irwin Automotive Group. "The participants get to drive the vehicle of their choice on a short route in a relaxed atmosphere, and it doesn't cost them anything but a small amount of their time."

Laconia High School is excited to put the money earned to the graduating classes of 2018 and 2019.

This event will take place at Laconia High School on Friday, May 5, from 3 to 7:30 p.m., and will feature the entire new 2017 Ford lineup. Drivers must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and the drivers are required to provide an insurance card as proof of insurance. Only one person per household may participate.
