The Inferno Cheer and Dance senior coed team from Laconia returned from the recent Battle of the States competition in Hershey, Penn. — 221 teams competed — with plenty of hardware. The 28-member squad won the senior coed title, and then proceeded to capture the highest score of the day from a total of 43 teams in the Level 3 division, making this the biggest win of the season for this first year gym. The team is comprised of two boys and 26 girls, ranging in ages 12-18, and was coached by Kristina Sasseville and Jessie Cleveland. The team is a uniquely close tight knit group, spending five to six hours together every week practicing for competitions and local events. This senior coed team, and the other six Inferno cheer and hip hop teams can be seen performing their award winning routines on Friday, June 6 at 7 p.m. at Laconia High School. (Courtesy photo)
