The Gunstock Recreation Area will host its 36th annual summer arts and crafts festival on Saturday, June 30, and Sunday, July 1.
More than 100 craftsmen and artisans will have work on display and for sale, including country woodcrafts, acrylic sculptures, doll clothes and accessories, quilts, pet beds, photography, aromatherapy, fine jewelry, primitive and folk art, fleece, paper craft, original watercolors, dried floral, scrap-booking, heat packs, native american art, pottery, candles, rain sticks, sports collages, ceramics, air brushing, collectable banks, leather,
custom embroidery, garden furniture, metal sculpture, painted clothing, birdhouses, herbal dips, homemade fudge, honey and maple products and more,
Live entertainment includes musical puppet shows plus a "paint-your-own" children's craft area. Craft demonstrations of acrylic sculpture, wire work jewelry, air brush art, scrap-booking and quilting will be ongoing.
The Gunstock Arts and Crafts Festival is held indoor and outdoor, rain or shine. Handicap accessible. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission and parking is free.
Festival attendees can enjoy the Gunstock wetlands boardwalk, a universally accessible half mile, self-guided, educational boardwalk as well as numerous hiking trails. Access to the wetlands boardwalk is free and maps are available at the welcome center.
