The Grand View Resort
LACONIA — An iconic scenic resort located in the Weirs Beach area of Lake Winnipesaukee has recently been sold, according to Tom Drouin of Roche Realty Group Inc., who represented both the seller and the buyer in this transaction.
Originally established in 1850, the Grand View Resort is known for offering one of the finest views over Lake Winnipesaukee.
In 1982, George and Marilyn Pucci purchased the Grand View Resort after leaving successful careers in the Boston area, as a police sargent and a real estate principal. In 2004, the family transferred ownership to the next generation of the Pucci family, Tom and Lynda Pucci.
Grand View Resort includes three acres on Route 3 with a total of 22 units with a mix of cottages and motel units. A large owner's residence, with wrap-around porches, is also located on the property. There is also a full size, in-ground pool overlooking the panoramic view of Lake Winnipesaukee.
The buyer of the property is Nicholas Tamposi who plans on operating the popular resort as it has been in the past for so many years.
