CAPTION: Girl Scout juniors Madison Knott-Zackowski and Keirah Sanborn of Troop 10249 donated 58 care bags for new mom's to the Family Birthplace at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia as their take-action project to earn their Bronze Award. The bags are filled with the basic essentials for baby and a few items for mom. There is a special handmade lovie blanket in each bag that were graciously donated by Laurie Jandreau, a local woman. Both girls worked very hard over the summer making handmade bracelets, flag pins and tissue paper flowers to sell to help raise the money needed to purchase all the items for the bags. Pictured with the Girl Scouts are LRGH Family Birthplace employees Kristy Dane and Lindsey Holman. The Scouts say "thank you" to everyone who helped sponsor some of the bags. (Courtesy)
