GILMANTON — The Food Pantry & Thrift Shop will now also be open on Mondays from 1-4 p.m., starting April 11. Spring and summer clothing will be available for sale. All during the month of April, children's clothing and accessories will be 50 percent off. Thrift Shop volunteers are encouraging people to stop by and see all the new items available to enhance your summer wardrobe.

"We also want to give a special thank you to everyone who shops at the Thrift Shop," said coordinators. "Your purchases help to keep the shelves of the Food Pantry stocked so that we may assist members of the community who may need a little extra help providing food for their families. In addition, the sale of clothing has also enabled us to purchase a new freezer for the Pantry. Our old one failed and freezer space is needed for frozen food."

Thanks to the generosity of those who donated food, money and gifts to the annual Easter Basket and Bunny Basket program, the Thrift Shop was able to provide extra items to families so they could enjoy a special meal in celebration of Easter.

The Thrift Shop is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and the building is located next to the Gilmanton Community Church on Route 140 in Gilmanton Iron Works.
