Dr. Glenn & Mrs. Sarah Fusonie recently made a generous donation to the Nursing Education Fund in honor of the vascular nursing staff at LRGHealthcare.
The Nursing Education Fund is the focus of LRGHealthcare’s 2005 Annual Fundraising Appeal — the goal is to raise $500,000 for the Fund. The Nursing Education Fund helps future nurses achieve their career goals by assisting them with tuition and other costs related to their clinical degree program.
In Fiscal Year 2004 alone, LRGHealthcare invested over $480,000 helping nurses achieve their career goals. The average cost to educate a future nurse is $7,000 per year for two years for an Associate RN degree, and between $17,000-$30,000 per year for four years for a Bachelors of Nursing Degree. In Fiscal Year 2005, LRGHealthcare expects to invest $500,000 in educating our community’s future nurses, and LRGHealthcare is asking you to consider helping with this important endeavor.
Investments in the Nursing Education Fund are a fitting tribute to the nurses who make a difference in our lives everyday, and will help to ensure that our community’s nursing workforce will be as highly skilled and compassionate tomorrow as it is today.
If you would like to join Dr. and Mrs. Fusonie in making a gift to the Nursing Education Fund, please send your tax-deductible donation to the LRGHealthcare Office of Community Affairs & Development, 80 Highland St., Laconia, NH 03246. Please make checks payable to LRGHealthcare. If you would like your gift to recognize or thank a particular nurse who has helped you or your family, please note that person’s name so that we may notify them that a gift was made in their honor.
