Holy Trinity School will host a Free Throw Contest for boys and girls ages ages 10 to 14 on Saturday, Jan. 14.
The 2006 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship will be held at Holy Trinity School on Church Street in Laconia.
Winners of this annual event, sponsored locally by the Belmont/Laconia Knights of Columbus, progress through local, district, and state competitions. Participants compete in their respective age divisions, and must furnish proof of age and written parental consent.
Registration for the event will begin at 9 a.m., and there is no charge to participate. Last year more than 179,000 sharpshooters participated in over 3,000 local championships! The Knights of Columbus is an international Catholic family fraternal service organization with nearly 1.7 million members in over 12,500 local councils.
