GILFORD — The Camino de Santiago, known as the Way of St. James, is the renowned pilgrimage route to the shrine of St. James. Locals Betty and Jim Tidd prepared themselves and ventured the final 100 kilometers of the French Way, and 85 kilometers from Santiago to Finisterre, or "the end of the world." Their trip was successful and breathtaking, in that they took pictures whenever they paused to catch their breath.
They will now venture to the Gilford Public Library on Thursday, Aug. 3, from 6-7 p.m. to share their pictures and experiences.
This program is free and open to the public. Interested participants can contact the Gilford Public Library at library@gilfordlibrary.org, call 524-6042, or text 367-0264 with any questions.
