The Belknap County Office of UNH Cooperative Extension will present two sessions of the workshop entitled "Selling Timber on Small Woodlots" on February 20 and April 17. Both workshops will run from 9 a.m. to noon, with the first being at the Moultonborough Public Library and the second at the Barnstead Town Hall.

Harvesting and selling timber on small wood lots pose unique challenges for landowners. How is wood sold? How much wood is required for a commercial sale? What processing and access considerations are there. Join us to learn more about these and other considerations when selling timber on small wood lots. A site visit will take place to look at how these issues were addressed in the field.

Presenters will include Andy Fast, Extension Forester, Belknap County and Wendy Scribner, Extension Forester, Carroll County.

To register for any of these programs call UNH Cooperative Extension at 603-447-3834 or 603-527-5475.

These workshops are co-sponsored by UNH Cooperative Extension, New Hampshire Department of Environmental Service and the New Hampshire Division of Forests and Lands.
