The Community Technical College has more than 1,000 students enrolled for the fall semester. Each will receive a list of area businesses offering a discount for meals, goods and services upon presentation of a college ID card.
Several businesses have already offered discounts and will appear on this year’s list, including ski areas, automotive repair facilities, fitness centers, barber/beauty salons, clothing and embroidery shops, restaurants and aviation companies.
Any businesses wishing to offer a student discount, and thereby increase their business, should notify the Student Affairs Office no later than Nov. 1 in order to be included in this semester’s discount list. The list is updated every semester. If you would like to be listed on future lists, you can do so by contacting the Student Affairs Office at anytime.
“The cost of education today makes all college students savvy consumers and they will frequent businesses that offer the best value for their dollar,” said Donald Morrissey, vice president of student affairs. “This program provides area businesses a great opportunity to help students while simultaneously helping their businesses by generating new customers,” added Morrissey. “I invite all businesses to consider being included on our list.”
The Student Affairs Office can be reached at 524-3207, ext. 799.
