Bertagna joins Taylor Community staff

LACONIA — Danielle Bertagna has joined the staff of Taylor Community as the Assisted Living Outreach and Admissions Counselor, Taylor CEO Bob Selig has announced.

Bertagna's primary focus will be Assisted Living and Memory Care and in this capacity, she will work with seniors and their families to help find solutions for those who need more support in their day-to-day living.

"Taylor is an exceptional organization and I love that it's a not-for-profit," said Bertagna. "I chose to come here because I believe in what Taylor Community is doing for seniors, and I appreciate the high standard of care this organization provides. The high staff-to-resident ratio, the caregiver training and the compassion and competency provided is all second to none," she said.

"The continuum of care we offer also provides a unique opportunity for seniors to come to our community and get whatever support they need to live a high quality of life – whether they need very basic assistance or a much higher level of care – and progress through different care levels as their needs change," Bertagna added.

Director of Marketing Paul Charlton said, "Not only does Danielle bring 15 years of experience to Taylor, but she has a knack for connecting with and helping people. She's extremely service-oriented, empathetic and proficient in dealing with the community at large."

A graduate of Colby College in Waterville, Maine, Bertagna previously worked in community relations and admissions at another local assisted living facility, and in marketing at Lakes Region General Hospital.

"Assisted Living at Taylor is different from what I have seen at other facilities," said Bertagna. "Our residents live in private apartments, not rooms, so while the care they need is readily available to them, they don't feel like they're living in a facility. This is truly a home. And because our assisted living rates are lower than most other local facilities, it's great to be able to make this quality of care available to more seniors.
