Sixth-grade students studying the stock market from Belmont Middle School’s Gifted and Talented program are shown here on a recent field trip to A.G. Edwards and Sons Investment Firm in Concord. The ten students who have been playing a simulation game of the stock market since early October were advised on their stock purchases, among other things, by the firm’s manager, stockbroker Bill Kearney. The students were then treated to a luncheon at no cost to them at Cheers Grille and Bar in Concord by owner, Doug Milbury. Pictured (left to right) are Brandon Nichols, Kevin King, Luke Wixson, Ian Huston, teacher Mrs. D. Champagne, Devon Kenney, Julia Ashey, Brittany Janis, Hannah Drew, Leanna Travis, Emma Landry.
