Artistic Roots offers many classes in June

PLYMOUTH — Artistic Roots’ featured teacher this month, glass artist Lynn Haust, is offering two Glass Fusing classes this month. The classes teach participants how to make fused glass creations to place in a window to catch the light. They will learn to use stringers, frit, and how to cut and place glass. The class is taught on June 6 from 5 to 7 p.m., and again on June 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. Cost is $30 for members and $35 for others.

Photographer Melissa Greenwalt will help people perfect their skill with a digital camera. Her class on June 13 is Digital Basics and will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $25 for members and $35 for non-members. Her second class is Unwind After Work: A Digital Walk Shop on June 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. This class takes participants outside to look at how best to take a shot of nature. A tripod is nice to have but a bag of dried beans works well. Cost for this class is $35 for members and $45 for nonmembers.

Suzan Gannett is a multimedia artist working in watercolors and Zen Doodles and jewelry, making her own flamework beads. She will be teaching a class called Make Your Own Earrings on June 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. The focus on the class will be to create earrings from start to finish. All materials are supplied. Cost of the class is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers.

She is also offering adults a Zen Doodle Class on Roosters on June 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. Students will learn a variety of designs and how to incorporate them into flowers. The class cost is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers.
