WATERVILLE VALLEY — The 8th Annual Fall Foliage 5K Foot Race attracted 125 runners to the resort on October 15. Seventy Three joined in for the fun run. In first place overall for the women, again, was Erica LaBella of Plymouth. In first place for the male category, and the overall winner, was 11 year-old Evan Thornton of Waterford, Vermont. The top fun run female winner was 8 year-old Mia Weglarz and for the male category, 13 year-old Jackson Burnham.

Mark Invernizzi Landscaping was the Event Sponsor, Roper Real Estate as Major Sponsor and WMAC, Waterville Valley Realty, All Mountain Rentals and NH Electric Co-op were Community Sponsors. Prize donations came freely from Coyote Grill, WMAC, Moulton Farm, Hannaford, Dreams & Visions, Toad Hall Toy Store, Legends, Olde Waterville Pizza Co., Mad River Coffee Roasters, Jugtown Country Store, Waterville Valley Golf Course, Town Square Condos, Waterville Valley Resort and the Adventure.

Each year race organizers from the Town of Waterville Valley Recreation Department choose a charity to benefit from a portion of the race proceeds. This year $700 went to Voices Against Violence and their extraordinary efforts.
