WOLFEBORO — The Wright Museum will welcome museum volunteer Arthur Krulewitz on Tuesday, July 23, at 7 p.m. to discuss oil during World War II. This is the seventh program of the Wright Museum’s 2024 Education Series.
In their desire for expansion and empire in the 1930s both Japan and Germany had an insatiable appetite for natural resources. Primarily, petroleum. Oil lubricated the road to war. The quest for oil dictated military goals and oil shortages influenced military tactics. In the end oil proved to be the Achilles heel of the Axis powers
