TILTON — Community members, families, students and friends gathered at Winnisquam Regional High School for the annual Holiday Community Dinner recently. Guests enjoyed a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings. This annual event is held to thank the community for their support of the Winnisquam Regional School District's students.
District administrators, faculty, staff and students volunteered to decorate the cafeteria, serve the meal, mingle with guests and clean up afterward. Representatives from the Raven Gael Blaisdell Foundation were also present to meet with families and offer a wide variety of free books to each student.
During the dinner, the St. Gabriel Parish Choir entertained guests. Children had the opportunity to write letters to Santa and take photos with him in front of a Polar Express backdrop.
Lois Goodsell, who attended with her grandson Toby, said, "This was such a wonderful event. The meal was delicious, and all the extra touches made it a very special evening for everyone."
The event was made possible by support from Coca-Cola, Fantini Bakery, Surowiec Farm, PFG, M. Saunders Produce, Christina Langly from Alan's Restaurant of Boscawen, and Twelve 31 Events.
