TILTON — Winnisquam Regional Middle School students competed in the Popsicle Stick Bridge Building competition sponsored by the NH Department of Transportation. These students designed and constructed a bridge using only popsicle sticks and glue that was tested to see how much weight it could hold.
The school’s third place bridge held a weight of 77 pounds and was built by Ciara Strahan, Lexi Robinson, and Cece Rogers. The second place bridge held a weight of 85 pounds, and was built by Rosalie Gray, Annabelle Huntoon, and Charlotte Gilbert. The first place bridge held a weight of 105 pounds, and was built by Kendyll Tenney, Madi Wyatt, and Allie Webb.
Library Media Specialist Elaine Pottle said, “We are so proud of all our student engineers for a successful and fun competition.”
