Wetlands Walk boardwalk at Gunstock under repairs

The Wetlands Walk boardwalk at Gunstock has a few sections missing.  Scout Troop 68 and other volunteers helped remove three sections in anticipation of tree work.  Be aware that most visitors will need to do one side or the other and turn around.  Walking through the open section on natural woodland ground is lumpy and leaf covered and not suggested for most visitors.  The side beginning with No. 1 of the interpretive trail goes the longest distance on boardwalk, but starting on the No. 17 side gets to an observation deck fairly quickly. From left, Matthew Nicoll with Scout troop 68, volunteer Tom Meierjurgen; scouts Linda Smith, Casey Smith, Madisyn Nicoll, Aiden Nicoll, Colby Davis, Joel Downing, and volunteer Andrew Olney prepare the boardwalk for tree removal.
