The Carroll County Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is seeking individuals who are ready for a rewarding experience as a volunteer driver for the non-emergency medical transportation program. All volunteers need is a reliable car, a desire to help others, and some free time.
Volunteer drivers provide free transportation for people in Carroll County who do not have access to transportation because of age, ability, economic situation, or other limiting circumstances. Trip purposes include non-emergency medical appointments, as well as trips to the pharmacy.
There is no minimum commitment to drive. Transports are matched that fit each driver's schedule, and are scheduled by RSVP. Supplementary insurance is provided and mileage reimbursement is available.
