LACONIA — It is time for the 38th Annual Tapply-Thompson Community Center Apple Festival. Although there will be no craft fair again this year due to the current increase in COVID cases we will be taking pre-orders for items as we did in 2020. It is such a great tradition that we are unwilling to give it up completely.
We will be offering our usual apple pies and crisps, home baked beans, bread, rolls and apple sauce through a pre-order form. The form and information will be out shortly and then orders can be taken. Payment can be made by credit card by calling the center at 744-2713 or by sending a check.
The center is in need of lots of volunteers for peeling and pie prep on Friday, Oct. 8 from 9 a.m. on. Safety protocols will be maintained for our volunteers. This is a great social time with all ages helping and lunch served with hot apple pie a-la-mode. Come for an hour or more — all help is appreciated as it truly takes a village to make this event a success.
The center is also in need of baking supplies if you would like to donate an item(s). They need sugar, flour, brown sugar, butter, molasses, oatmeal, dried kidney beans, and dried pea beans.
To volunteer contact the TTCC by phone or email Les at bccfun@metrocast.net
