WOLFEBORO ― The third annual EcoSunday takes place at the First Congregational Church UCC in Wolfeboro this weekend.

This year’s speaker, Unitarian Universalist minister Rev. Kendra Ford of 350 NH and No Coal No Gas will deliver the message, titled “Everything is Connected,” at 10 a.m. followed at 11:15 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. by an eco fair downstairs in Fellowship Hall. Light lunch fare and a variety of nonprofit environmentally centered exhibits are featured. The public is invited to attend the service and/or the presentations that follow, as preference and schedules allow.

Rev. Kendra Ford has worked for 350NH as full time staff since 2022 and volunteered with them for years before that. Rev. Ford served the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Exeter for 21 years where Ford says they worked together to deepen their grounding and work for the Earth. After attending the Treaty People Gathering at the Mississippi headwaters in 2021, she says she decided it was time to step into full time activist work. Her EcoSunday message will “reflect on how it's all connected and how we stop clinging to the edge and follow the deepest currents.”

This will take place at 115 S. Main St. on Sunday, April 19.

FCCW’s Faith in Action committee extended invitations to local and statewide organizations to share their related work. Members of two town committees, the Wolfeboro Waters Committee and the Wolfeboro Energy Committee, will be represented, along with members of the Makers Mill Fiber Arts Team, the Wentworth Watershed Association, and the Six Legged Society. A kid’s table with environmentally themed activities will add to the fun.

Members of the NH United Church of Christ Climate Hope Affiliate’s Concord chapter and the 350NH Youth Fellows, trained to speak on the hazards of PFAs (also known as "forever chemicals”), will also share their efforts on behalf of Earth stewardship.

The Country Bookseller will again offer a selection of nature themed books for sale and colorful wool dryer balls created from contributions of left over yarn from community members will be offered as long as the supply lasts.
