GILFORD — The St. Vincent de Paul Society had their annual volunteer and service award dinner on Monday evening, Aug. 30 at the Pheasant Ridge Country Club in Gilford. At the dinner, the efforts of all the volunteers was thanked as well as the efforts of many individuals were acknowledged. The highlight was the service awards given to Verna "Jo" Carignan and Jennette Buckley for their 30 years of volunteer service to the organization in the Laconia area.
St Vincent de Paul operates a thrift store and food pantry located at 1269 Union Ave. in Laconia.
