MOULTONBOROUGH — Calling all Moultonborough and area residents: Jane and Christina are looking for old photos of Moultonborough for a new book project. Many are familiar with the Arcadia “Images of America” book series, and it’s time to do one on Moultonborough.

Jane Rice, longtime librarian, and Cristina Ashjian, chair of the Heritage Commission, are starting an exciting winter project — putting together a photo book about historic Moultonborough. The book will feature many historic photographs from the collection of the Moultonborough Historical Society, and photo postcards from Dick Wakefield’s collection. Rice and Ashjian are asking residents and area friends to check their family albums for historic images of buildings and other places around town. The target timeframe is 1890-1960.

If you have historic photos (stereo-views, black and white photos preferred) showing what Moultonborough looked like in the early 20th century, contact them. They are interested in buildings, farms, roadways, boats, and other historic scenes.

Contact them by email to: moultonborobook@gmail.com or call either Jane 603-279-3454 or Cristina 603-476-8446.
