PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Area Renewable Energy Initiative will hosting events in Plymouth and New Hampton.
The October Energy Exchange will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Pease Public Library, at 1 Russell St. in Plymouth. It is a community forum focused on practical clean energy solutions like plug-in solar and heat pump water heaters. The gathering provides an open floor for neighbors to connect, share personal energy-saving stories, discuss challenges, and learn practical efficiency tips. The Pumpkin Smash takes place Saturday, Nov. 7, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Three Creeks Farm, at 774 Dana Hill Road in New Hampton. It is an outdoor pasture event where attendees can smash their leftover jack-o'-lanterns, cornstalks, and gourds for the farm's solar-grazing sheep flock to eat. Attendees will also learn about Three Creeks Farm's PAREI-installed solar array, agrivoltaic sheep grazing, and the Belknap County Conservation District grant supporting the project.
