BRISTOL ― The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will hold a public informational meeting to solicit and share information regarding improvements to the Summer Street corridor.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, April 30, at 6 p.m. at the Town of Bristol’s Historic Old Town Hall. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for an open house and interaction with the Project Development Team. Parking is available at 5 School St., and behind the church at 30 Summer St. The public is encouraged to attend and participate.

The purpose of this meeting is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed project. The meeting will gather public input to ensure that projects decisions meet transportation needs, community goals, and protect and enhance the environment.

An environmental review of the project’s potential impacts on cultural and natural resources is underway in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act. The project is not expected to have an adverse effect on cultural or historic resources that are potentially eligible for or listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Individuals or organizations with a demonstrated interest in the potential impacts to historic resources may become Consulting Parties under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Additional information will be provided at the meeting.

Information about the project can be found at dot.nh.gov/projects-plans-and-programs/project-center.
